Capturing Thoughts & Holding onto Hope<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This morning\u2019s quiet time on the back patio was anything but quiet in the traditional sense \u2014 the dogs were running around visiting their furry friends, the breeze was moving just enough, and yet\u2026 there was a stillness in my soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that stillness, I heard God whisper:
\u201cJust be. You have Me. You have hope. This is how you start.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And wow \u2014 I needed that reminder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because if I\u2019m honest, my thoughts tried to go off-roading on the struggle bus. You know that feeling when your mind wants to spiral \u2014 looping on everything that feels uncertain, overwhelming, or just plain hard? Yeah, that. But in the middle of my mental detour, I felt the Holy Spirit nudge me:
\u201cStop it. What is the truth?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truth is, I don\u2019t need to have every detail figured out before I begin. I don\u2019t plan a 1400 mile road trip to Florida by mapping out every single gas station stop before I even know which highways I\u2019m taking. First comes the big picture:\u00a0Where am I going? Where is God leading me? What has He already accomplished in my life?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And friends \u2014 that\u2019s why I still have hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing on that struggle bus changes this truth: my healing is guaranteed.<\/strong> I don\u2019t know when, I don\u2019t know how, and I don\u2019t even know if it will all manifest on this side of heaven \u2014 but I serve a mighty God who does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cBy His stripes, I am healed.\u201d<\/em>
It\u2019s done. It\u2019s finished. The victory is already mine.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Word reminds me in 2 Corinthians 10:5 (ESV)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cWe destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

So that\u2019s what I\u2019m doing today \u2014 choosing to take my thoughts captive, rerouting them to God\u2019s truth instead of my fears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now? Zeke is giving me the look to play, and Bubby is begging for some love \u2014 so I\u2019m choosing to play with them a while before the rest of the day unfolds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose to make it a good day. Hope and healing are already in motion.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
